A Walk in the Hills - Beverly that is

Today we awoke determined to get some exercise, so following breakfast, we drove off to Beverly Hills to do some serious hoofing.
We started off towards the commercial centre and Rodeo Dr. The wide streets of Beverly Hills are lined with boulevards of palms and estate after estate, many very privately hidden by towering vegetation.

The shopping district on Rodeo Dr. is of course famous for its extremely high end designer shops. There also lots of pretty impressive vehicles parked along its course.

As an insignificant drizzle began, we opted for lunch at the Grill, a famous Beverly Hill eatery.

After an excellent, but immense lunch, we continued on in an effort to burn a bit of it off. We got a pretty good feel for this part of the town that is not in the hills. Most homes are impeccably manicured like the one below and many are on lots approaching one acre in size.

When Betty & Gary finished work today we sat down to a rousing game of "Bite Me", which Dawn easily won. After that, we had some chicken thighs, fries and salad and because we're heading to the desert tomorrow, we cashed it in shortly after 10 pm.
