We had lunch on the Grand Rue at the Louis Sipp Winstub and then continued our walk about town including a visit inside the cathedral. This is a gothic masterpiece!
We returned to Obernai and did a bit of shopping, then chose to eat at the restaurant in our hotel. This was a marvelous experience, Dawn & I having sauerkraut – hers in the traditional Royal manner and mine with a duck confit. Dennis had a pork hoch and Jackie a potato and cheese galette. This is not sauerkraut like we in Canada or even better Kitchener know it. This is not vinegary or sharp. It is simply the best.
Our stay in the Alsace has been wonderful, despite cool, overcast weather conditions. It will be sad to leave tomorrow.
