Good Intentions
We started off the day with good intentions. The plan was to sleep in little, since the tour director was getting a little weary from all the driving. Then we'd head to Orange to pick up some groceries. Then we'd go and do some wine tasting. Then the rain began, not serious downpours, but rain nonetheless. Therefore we got going a little later than anticipated, picked up our groceries and immediately knew that wine tasting potential had passed since it was after 12:00. One thing you can count on with the French is that they need their midday break.
So, after passing through a shutdown chateau in Rochegude and a shutdown village in Visan, we headed back to chez Pigeon for pizza and cards. The drizzle continued so a French style siesta was in order.
As a continuation of our good intentions, we prepared to have a duck dinner this evening, only to discover that we had not actually purchased duck breast - YIKES! Fortunately, we had some sausage de Toulouse which we turned into a pretty nice dinner. Aging is fabulous - ****!
