Cruising...Mm Mm Mm, On A Hot Hot Afternoon

Sing along with me now! When we left French Polynesia and started heading east, the clock started to go ahead on a regular basis to the point yesterday when we are now on Lima Peru time, which is only one hour difference from home. That’s good for dealing with jet lag when we get home, but losing an hour daily has taken it’s toll and all of the sun and fresh sea air has left us in a perpetual state of “weary”. We’re now lucky to drag ourselves out of bed in time for breakfast. So after breakfast at 10:00 as we close the restaurant, it’s a scant few hours until we’re strapping on the feed bag again for lunch. Then the ship had a Gala Tea this afternoon, a couple hours after lunch. We went up mainly to take pictures of the table arrangements which we have found to always be spectacular. Of course, we didn’t leave without a couple plates of goodies, sweet and savory. Then, we had dinner reservations for 6:30 in Toscana. If it appears that all we do is eat, on these cruising days Im afraid that’s pretty much true. There will be a reckoning when we get home! As well as having had the best view of ports of call because we’re port side on the ship, we have also lucked out, in that due to the ship’s direction, we’ve also had afternoon sun on our balcony. Dawn has always claimed that she didn’t care about the balconies. Not any more. She’s a convert. We don't make it to much entertainment on the ship. It starts at 9:30 which is often a problem, but actually the entertainment just isn't that good. Tonight was an exception. We were treated to a new gal who just came on at Easter Island. She sang a blend of jazz and musical theatre and backed by the ship's eight piece band, she was excellent.
