Another walk through Vaison la Romaine

The wind began to blow this morning after yet another Monday night of rain. Fortunately it was a sirocco verses a Mistral and the wind was warm, coming off the Sahara. Although the day was a little dull, the rain did not return and the delightful breeze continued. Once again we were at Tuesday, which meant a trip in to the market at Vaison la Romaine. It was a pretty easy walk as either the time of year diminished the number of merchants and patrons, or the potential of bad weather did.
We are becoming pretty good shoppers at these markets. We walk the entire length of the market casing product quality and price and then go back to what we like the best. We found one stall where a lady was selling very nice breasts, er, I mean figs. Actually her breasts were selling the figs, as they were really hangin' out there on display. Having tasted the figs I would have to say that her breasts are delicious. Did I say breasts? What we didn't like so much was that the space normally occupied by Vivian, our olive and sun dried tomato lady, was empty. Je suis triste!
It's always interesting to note what the French Anglicize and what they feel obliged to change. Here's one product everyone will recognize despite the name.
The rest of the day was spent prepping for tomorrow and I packed the one box to be mailed home. Tomorrow it's back to Marseilles.
