A Princess Kind of Day

This day was devoted to the Magic Kingdom and an array of Disney princesses graced us with their presence. When we arrived at the parking lot for the Magic Kingdom, we were nicely ahead of the throngs to come. One must take the monorail to get to the entrance of the park, so off we went.
As I set out to get some fast passes for a couple of more popular attractions, the group headed to Fantasyland, which is in the process of getting a gigantic addition. The classic rides were still there and Dumbo was first on the list followed by the Barnstormer roller coaster, which did a nice job of terrifying Sadie.
She did prevail but wasn’t getting on the carousel, so Ella rode her horse on her own.
Then we went back to two of our fast passes, each of which saved us one and a half hours of queuing. The first event was a photo op/autograph session with princesses Aurora, Belle and Cinderella.
Then it was off to see Mickey & Minnie in his dressing room.
Continuing on our trek, we were entertained by a Main St. parade featuring many characters and lots of lively dancing and singing.
After a ride on Aladdin’s Magic carpet, we went for a pre-arranged lunch in the castle at Cinderella’s Royal Table. Of course, meeting Cinderella was on the bill, as well as visits from four other princesses during lunch, which everyone agreed was delicious.
Following lunch we quit Disney and took our princesses back to the house for nap and pool time.
