Nyons Again

After yeaterday's doze-fest, we were reinvigorated and headed off to market in Nyons. We had a purpose today and that was to get the remaining napkins from a set we had purchased last week. And, let's face it, we still enjoy a good market stroll and on a beautiful day the place was crazy busy and definitely where the action was. The paella shown above is always enticing but we rarely purchase any, mainly because by the time we decide it might be a good idea, they are sold out. You have to place your order early. We finally got to have a chat with "my" tomato lady - actually she sells a lot more olive product than tomatoes - but her tomatoes are still the best. Vivian had been on a vacation to Brittany for the first few weeks of our visit here. We were dismayed to learn that by August 1, she will be gone from the market, as she will will also be gone from France for four years. Her husband has work in Guadeloupe. Sorry for her luck! Her son generally runs the market operation now, so hopefully he has her recipe for those magical tomatoes. After this morning's rain, the day continued to warm, but stay tuned - next week is going to be a killer!
