The weather has been unseasonably cool and overcast so far. That’s pretty much what we expect from the Alsace anyway. My one sweater is already getting a workout, however.
We decided to do a curcuit through the Vosges today, so started off with a trek up to Mt. St. Odile. The view from the convent was surprisingly good. Our next stop was the Champs de Feu where we found about 20 people learning to fly the harness kites that they use to kite surf. The colourful kites were a beautiful contrast to the dull skies which began to break up and allow the sun to filter through.
