We then made our way to Chateau La Berchere where we checked in and discovered that our room this time was in one of the turrets of the castle – a totally circular room with 2 foot thick walls and small weapon access type windows – cracks really.
For dinner we went to a small nouveau cuisine restaurant called La Cabotte in Nuits St. George. Since we’ve been pigging out lately we chose only one course + dessert tonight, but it was very creative and tasty. Everyone went away very satisfied and looking forward to tomorrow’s visit to Beaune and the great wine towns to its south.
