Rain in Provence

It was a rainy day today, but somehow we got through the market at Vaison la Romaine without a soaking. Even though we're well into September now, the size of the market has not diminished.
While at the market, we made arrangements to revisit Domaine Rocher with Lilian, our tablecloth merchant to purchase some more wine. He has only 2000 or so bottles left, so we'd better not tary.
Following Vaison, we tasted at Camille Cayran, the coop in Cairanne again and then returned to the ranch for a slow afternoon. Rain really does change your perspective about slowing down mid-day. Other than tasting wine, what else is there to do?

By early evening, we dropped in at the Belvedere tasting salon so Dennis & Jackie could sample a good cross section of Cairanne wines and then returned to Domaine Rocher and sat in the kitchen with Lilian, drinking his wine.

For dinner, it was Le Tourne au Verre, our local restaurant. Due to the weather, we were inside. The menu consisted of a chicken & chive rillette, a creamed mushroom soup, pork tenderloin and vegetables and a raspberry sauced panacotta. Let it rain!
